National Property Inspections, Inc. obtains FAA Pilot’s License and will now be training franchisees on how to fly and operate drones on inspections.
Omaha, Neb., Nov 29, 2016 — National Property Inspections, Inc., parent company of National Property Inspections in the United States and Global Property Inspections in Canada, is pleased to announce they will now be introducing drone operation training into their Training Academy schedule. Randy Yates, Training Coordinator and inspection expert for NPI, has earned his pilot’s license and will now be leading a training course on how franchisees can introduce drone use during an inspection. In order to use drones commercially you still need obtain your pilots license, but NPI will give you the training needed to pass the exam successfully.
“I am thrilled that the FAA has released their new regulations so we have the opportunity to fly drones commercially,” Yates said. “As property inspectors we sometimes need to access unsafe areas on roofs or around homes and buildings. With the possibility to use drones on inspections our franchisees will be able to provide more thorough reports with less liability and risk of falling.”
Bloomberg recently interviewed Randy Yates about the changes in drone laws and accessibility. “The sky is going to open up at the end of August for a lot of opportunities,” Yates said. U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx agrees, stating, “These aircraft truly have the potential to transform how we fly and they also offer many potential benefits to society.”
