Dickey's Barbecue Pit Coming Soon to Woodville

(Woodville, Florida) Look out Florida--Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is heading to Woodville, the “bedroom” rural community of Tallahassee. Debra H. and John A. Lewis are ready to begin their new venture with Dickey’s Barbecue.

“We wanted to bring to our own community a restaurant that would be what we good old southern folks eat, at an affordable price, and would complement what is already offered here,” said franchise owner Debra H. Lewis.
Debra and Lewis were both born in Tallahassee and are lifelong residents of Leon County. Debra was raised on a plantation and John was raised on a farm. They are deeply rooted in the area and have large families surrounding them. Besides their two sons, Jeremy and Jesse, they both have large extended families in the area.
John is the owner of Lewis Land Clearing, Inc. which has been in business for 30 years. Debra is the owner of Lewiswood Center and Storage, LLC and has been in business for 18 years.
“If we could have designed a restaurant that would be the perfect fit for our community and us, it would have looked just like Dickeys,” said Lewis. “We loved the concept of serving really good food, really quickly, at a price our community can afford. We loved the simplicity of the menu, we loved that it’s served in a fast casual manner.”
This new location will be located at 8159-8161 Woodville Highway.
