East Coast Wings & Grill Appoints Jim Overbeck to National Supply Chain Manager

Winston-Salem, N.C. – East Coast Wings & Grill, a fast growing casual dining chicken wing franchise, recently announced the appointment of Jim Overbeck to National Supply Chain Manager.

Currently Overbeck serves as a Senior Field Consultant for the brand. In his new position, Overbeck will be responsible for assuring that supply chain systems are held accountable as East Coast Wings & Grill continues to raise the bar in franchisee support. Additionally, Overbeck will oversee unit-level functions to ensure minimal losses and waste exposure in inventory management.

“With 37 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Jim brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to East Coast Wings & Grill and the perfect person to fill this crucial role,” said Sam Ballas, CEO of East Coast Wings & Grill. “Jim will help enhance our already laser-like-focus in quality control and cost of goods. Together we have developed a unique process consulting our franchisees in supply and inventory management and managing our supply chain partners in cost of goods. Furthermore, this proprietary process has assisted our unit-level economics agenda in lowering our total cost of goods.”

Overbeck most recently served as the General Manager for Athenian Food Concepts, Inc., a subsidiary of East Coast Wings & Grill. Prior industry experience ranges from Unit- Level General Manager positions to Quality and Assurance Inspections with national chains.

“Having previously worked for Athenian Food Concepts, I have a very clear idea as to what our CEO expects from me and I believe that my experience in the industry will benefit the brand and experience for our franchisees,” said Overbeck. “Together, we will selectively continue our new unit growth at no cost to our core philosophy in driving unit-level economics.”

Overbeck’s appointment comes after a monumental year of growth for East Coast Wings & Grill. In addition to achieving ten years of positive same-store sales, the brand is continuing to grow at a rate of more than 20 percent this year and has projected to sustain this rate for the next coming years. With 30 locations, East Coast Wings & Grill has signed agreements to almost triple their store count over the next coming years.
