BookKeeping Express ‘Balances’ Tri-Cities Businesses’ Need for Certified Services with Grand Opening of First Area Office
Local Mother and Daughter Entrepreneurial Team Opens Kennewick’s First BookKeeping Express Office; Expands to Offer Tri-Cities Businesses Professional Bookkeeping Services
KENNEWICK, Wash. – BookKeeping Express, the first U.S. franchise focused solely on bookkeeping services, recently opened its first office in Kennewick serving businesses throughout the Tri-Cities area.
BookKeeping Express offers a much-needed service to businesses, so they can get back to doing what they do best.
“Our service helps to alleviate a void that exists locally for skilled bookkeeping services that are specifically focused on the business community,” said Shandra Knowles, co-owner of the new BookKeeping Express office in Kennewick with her mother Kathleen. “We are excited about serving the Tri-Cities area and setting our roots deep in the business community. BookKeeping Express has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, and its proven business model will provide us with the marketing and operations support we need to help grow the business, thus allowing us to help our clients grow theirs.”
Shandra, 31, has served in various bookkeeping and office management roles for the past eight years and has always wanted to own her own business. Kathleen, 53, worked for the City of Kennewick for more than 30 years and brings with her many years of record keeping experience, including doing bookkeeping for a local church. She is looking forward to embarking on this entrepreneurial journey alongside her daughter. The Knowles are long-term natives of Kennewick and Shandra is also a licensed foster parent.
“So many otherwise sound businesses fail to account for their financial dealings, which in turn hinders their revenues and growth. They want to efficiently move forward, but without knowing how to best utilize their financial data, they often feel frustrated and overwhelmed…and that’s where we come in,” added Shandra. “The benefits of allowing BookKeeping Express to maintain their books with CPA oversight throughout the year are enormous from a cost standpoint...particularly in the current economic climate. Without this kind of partnership expertise, I see too many business owners experiencing the negative impact of falling behind on their financial records.”
BookKeeping Express’ services include setting up charts of accounts and general ledgers, monthly data entry, processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, producing monthly reports and tax reporting. Plus, BookKeeping Express utilizes an Alternative Pricing Model that is based on the clients’ needs instead of a one-size-fits-all, hourly billing approach.
The expansion into the Tri-Cities area is part of the company’s aggressive national development plans which call for more than 400 new territories throughout the United Sates.
“The business community is growing in the Tri-Cities and around the country, and BookKeeping Express is expanding with it, providing qualified individuals with a niche franchise option that caters to this growing segment,” said Greg Jones, CEO of BookKeeping Express. “We are looking to grow with franchise partners such as Shandra and Kathleen who are serious about owning a business and sincere about their desire to fill a void in their communities with our distinctive services.”
Through the BKE Connect system, businesses have access to all bookkeeping files remotely through an outside server, as well as a dashboard that clearly and visually ‘sum’ up the business’ operations for thorough analysis. Plus, business owners can synchronize their QuickBooks and enjoy convenient, anytime access to their financial documents through BKE EDocs, an electronic filing system designed to provide secure, online storage of financial documents.
