PROtential Sports Advances Mission to Teach Life through Sports with Strategic U.S. Expansion Plans

TAMPA, Fla. – A pair of elite athletes redefining the role of sports in the lives of today’s youth are taking their mission nationwide.

Tony and Nyree Bland, husband and wife, and professional football and tennis standouts respectively, share a common commitment to help kids meet their full potential on and off the playing field. Now, as demand grows for sports programs that teach important life lessons and foster strong character development, they’re pledging to assist others who have similar ambitions to make a positive impact in their own communities.

This talented twosome has developed PROtential Sports into a winning concept that is fit for franchise expansion.

“It’s hard to tell who the real winners are, us or the children,” said Tony, president of PROtential Sports and a former NFL wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings who has built the business from a weeklong summer camp to a year round life-changing extracurricular program. “We created PROtential Sports to have a greater impact on kids’ lives. By expanding nationwide, we now have the opportunity to extend our reach and touch the lives of children in all corners of the country.”

The strategic franchise growth program initially is targeting attractive markets throughout the Southeastern United States. Expanding PROtential Sports beyond the Southeast into the Midwest, Northeast and Western regions of the United States will follow.

PROtential Sports offers afterschool and summer camp programs for children between the ages of five and 12. Sessions are held at various community venues including country clubs, churches, schools and park district facilities. Children are offered the opportunity to learn and participate in a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, football, baseball, lacrosse, golf, tennis, and cheerleading. In addition to sports coaching and mentorship, the program offers transportation, snacks and homework help to all of its students.

Unlike traditional camps and afterschool programs, PROtential Sports integrates life lessons into its athletic curriculum to help direct children towards a successful future. The coaching aims to cultivate character traits and instill values such as discipline, respect, honesty, integrity and teamwork in the children they work with each day. Every student is given individual mentorship to help them grow physically, mentally and emotionally.

“When parents enroll their children in our programs, they know they’ve put them on the right track. They trust us to provide their children with the guidance they need to set and reach new goals,” added Nyree, who played tennis on the professional circuit. “There isn’t another program like ours that goes to the lengths we do to positively influence the lives of children.”

Driven by a desire to help kids, the Blands, who have a young son, came up with the idea for PROtential Sports while hosting a series of summer camps with several NFL stars. The success of the camps motivated Tony to start his own.

PROtential Sports offers motivated individuals, especially those who have competed at a high level, a platform to showcase the skills and values they’ve picked up in the sporting arena. The summer camps and afterschool programs hire between 15 and 25 staff members year round. Franchisees and their staff undergo extensive training programs where they learn to interact with children in an effective manner.

PROtential Sports franchisees benefit from the know-how the company has cultivated as an innovator in the field. To support their franchisees’ growth, the PROtential Sports home office offers initial and ongoing training, as well as sales and marketing support.

The flexible hours and the ability to manage the business from home make PROtential Sports a great fit for former athletes, teachers and those interested in child development. Prior experience in athletics and education is not a necessity. For more information about franchising opportunities visit: http://www.protentialsports.com/index.php/franchise
